Cristoir's 40th Birthday Cake
I was asked to make this cake by Carol from Immerse Beauty Clinic for her husband Cristoir for his 40th birthday.
Carol told me that he was a farmer who also made fences and that they had a lovely German Shepherd dog and left me to work my magic and come up with something unique
I went for a two tier chocolate biscuit cake. The bottom tier was 7 inches and to keep with the farming and fencing theme I wrapped it in a wooden fence with two cows peering over the top while his German Shepherd pokes his nose through a hole in it.
All the painting was freehand. The top tier was 6 inches and I decided to cover it with a cow hide design. This was hand painted using airbrush paints and I used a fan brush to create the texture. The cake was finished off with a stone effect base.
