Lauren's 21st Birthday Harley Quinn Cake
I made this cake last week for my niece Lauren's 21st Birthday.
Lauren is a huge sci-fi fan and loves all the DC and Marvel comics. Her favourite charcater has always been Harley Quinn so when it came to deciding on a theme for the cake there was only ever going to be one!
I decided to go with a vintage Harley character design with some added steampunk touches.
The filling was cherry and almond and it was then covered with vanilla buttercream.
The steampunk features were hand drawn on the cake with diamonds inside the cogs to add a little Harley touch to them and then the handmade 3D Harley character was added.
The board was finished with additional steampunk features, some Harley diamonds, an old style key and a birthday greeting from Harley.
